Thank you to the American Legion Post 1720 for agreeing to expand their traditional Flag Day Celebration for our America’s 250 Celebration!!!!
2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Communities across America will be celebrating this momentous event in our history throughout the year.

Join us on Sunday, June 14th as the Town of Eagle Celebrates America’s 250
- American Legion Parade starting at 1:00 PM
- 21 Gun Salute following the parade
- The Reading of the Declaration of Independence
- Flag Ceremony followed by an explanation of how to properly dispose of American Flags
- America’s Independence Memorial Tree – planting and dedication to the veterans and their families who have sacrificed so much for 250 years of freedom an independence
- Historical Museum Open House from 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM with light refreshments
- American Legion Barbecue – hot dogs, hamburgers, sausages, salads and desserts
